Brand Story
Ettitude | noun | eco-attitude | living with an eco-attitude
Ettitude is a fabric innovation and home goods brand centered around their patented and carbon neutral CleanBamboo® fibers. Phoebe Yu founded the brand in 2014, building upon her career in textile supply chain management, merchandising, and logistics.
After emigrating from China and attempting to furnish a new home in Australia, Yu found a gap in the market. Bedding that was sustainable AND affordable!
And so Ettitude was born.
“ettitude is on a mission to create next-gen fabrics and products that reduce our impact and support the health of the planet. We’re here to make a material difference in the home and textiles industries for a more sustainable, regenerative future for all.” – Phoebe Yu
While they’ve only been around just shy of a decade, their impact has been huge.
- Saved over 3 million liters of water
- Prevented over 1,000 tons of CO2 emissions
- Saved 70,000+ acres of land through their use of land-intensive bamboo

Bamboo Bedding
For decades, cotton has been the bedding industry standard. But did you know it’s the world’s dirtiest crop?
Cotton uses more pesticides, insecticides and water than any other crop on the planet.
Bamboo is different. A naturally renewable resource, bamboo uses less water, energy, and overall resources than cotton. Compared to a cotton sheet set, bamboo sheets use…
- 500x less water, saving nearly 8,189 gallons of water
- 52% fewer carbon emissions, around 25.9kg of emissions
- Bamboo farming creates minimal waste. 70% of the bamboo they harvest is used to create fabric, while the other 30% is composted
- Ettitude’s CleanBamboo uses 100% rainwater to grow
- Bamboo forests absorb 2.03 metric tons of CO2 per hectare per year
How? Ettitude’s CleanBamboo is sourced from FSC-Certified forests and made in a closed-loop system that recycles 98% of its water.
It is a lyocell fabric made from organically grown bamboo that uses 0 toxic chemicals in the process… unlike other bamboo fabrics on the market using viscose or rayon technology.
The result is a super-soft bamboo fabric that is naturally hypoallergenic and breathable.
The textile industry is the second most polluting industry in the world, after the oil and gas industry. By creating a fabric that is regenerative, instead of harmful, Ettitude redefines what bedding can be.
Ettitude Products
Although Ettitude started with their essential bamboo bedding collections, they’ve expanded over the years. Today, they have everything from baby towels to sleep masks.
Their fabrics have expanded, too. Using their regenerative bamboo, they’ve crafted their Vegan Cashmere, Linen+, and Sateen+ fabric lines. All 100% Peta approved Vegan and OEKO-TEX 100 Certified – just like their Signature Sateen fabric.
No matter what you order, it comes packaged in reusable drawstring bags and plastic-free shipping packaging.
At the end of your products life, you can trade them in through Ettitude’s re:new program. This gives old products a new life… and rewards you with a discount on your next purchase.
